REGINA — The sun beamed down for a few brief minutes as Kiefer Sutherland held the hand of his late grandfather Tommy Douglas.

A large crowd had gathered in the wind and rain along the riverfront anxiously waiting for the unveiling of the bronze statue of the former Saskatchewan premier.

Sutherland was as excited as anybody for the big debut.

"This has been a desire of mine since I can remember," said Sutherland. "It's unbelievable. I waited a long time to hold my grandpa's hand."
