Now, while Caltrans is busy killing little patches of ice plant for reasons only a crack-head could understand, ice plant is busy saving lives. This driver flipped his truck by Padaro Lane and soft-landed upside down on the ice plant...so you see, ice plant can control erosion and save your life!
targeting eucalyptus trees...
if I'm going to read an absurd story,it will undoubtedly come from the News-Press. This time the corresepondent is Kenny Lindberg and he claims eucalyptus trees are dangerous to children in parks...imagine, using children to promote hatred of trees! Instead this knucklehead should be telling kids not to fear trees....one euc fell at an SB park and now Kenny and the News-Press are afraid..well, during the storm water flowed and could have killed someone, should we fear water; what about lightning? how about the other tree species that fell and injured a Caltrans guy? the truth is a eucalyptus tree has never harmed a child in Santa Barbara...and neither did ice plant!!!
now, what really harms everyone after a storm is all these stupidass CAltrans resorations and the human- caused trash that washes from the rivers into the ocean
Beaches awash in garbage after series of storms
Much of the Southern California coastline, particularly near river mouths, is littered with bottles, cans, tires, shoes and shopping carts.
LATIMES
now I ask you: who does more damage... people or plants? I think you know the answer...
