The long-talked-about 24 film is inching closer to actually happening, with executive producer Howard Gordon revealing there's now a script — but don't start counting down to the movie just yet.
"[The script] is being read by [20th Century] Fox now," Gordon told Digital Spy. "There's no green light, there's no plans right now in terms of a calendar for it. But we're working on it."
Gordon confirmed rumours that the film sees indestructible terrorist fighter Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland) venturing outside the United States, to locations including the United Kingdom, Prague, Serbia and China. Jack's sidekick Chloe (Mary Lynn Rajskub) is also likely to be back.
There are hopes develop 24 into a Die Hard-ish film franchise, with three films currently planned. The first will pick up 18 months after the final season.
