Sudan’s President Omar al-Bashir threatens to increase Sharia law if Sudan splits: Video of a woman being flogged in the streets

As I have done in prior posts, it is my duty to point out the hypocrisy of the Muslim faith, or those who try to portray it as peaceful.

We have ignorant Americans, er…check that, Liberals who have adopted Islam as the chic religion that needs to be fought for and protected without having a clue what Islam really is.

For instance, Islam treats women very badly in all parts of the world and our valiant Left Wing women’s rights groups like Now pay absolutely no attention to the plight of these suffering women.

In the Sudan, they flog women in the streets for violating Sharia, the system of laws that is part and parcel of the Muslim faith. Currently in the United States, Liberals are waging a clever propaganda campaign shielding the true nature of Sharia as being a benign aspect of Islam.

Sharia courts have existed in the UK since the mid 80s and the result has been the near Islamification of that country as well as other European countries.

But thanks to freedom loving citizens like blogger Juhad Watch, there are some watchful Americans dispensing the truth about Sharia and Islam.

BBC News reports that the north of Sudan will reinforce its Islamic laws if the south secedes as a result of next month's referendum, President Omar al-Bashir has said.

Mr Bashir said the constitution would then be changed, making Islam the only religion, Sharia the only law and Arabic the only official language.

Correspondents say his comments are likely to alarm thousands of non-Muslim southerners living in the north.

They are currently protected from some of the stronger aspects of Sharia.

"If south Sudan secedes, we will change the constitution," Mr Bashir told a gathering of his supporters in the eastern town of Gederef on Sunday.

"Sharia and Islam will be the main source for the constitution, Islam the official religion and Arabic the official language," the president added.

The imposition of Sharia on the non-Muslim south was one of the reasons for the long civil war, which ended when a peace deal was signed in 2005, the BBC's James Copnall in Khartoum reports.

Under the accord, an interim constitution was drafted that removed Sharia law from the south and also recognised Sudan's cultural and social diversity, our correspondent says.

President Bashir said on Sunday there would be no question of this diversity when a new constitution was drafted, if the south became independent

Senior northern officials are just starting to acknowledge publicly that South Sudan - where most people follow traditional beliefs and Christianity - are almost certain to choose to separate in the referendum.

Separately, Mr Bashir also commented on a recent high-profile case in which a video posted on the internet showed a woman being flogged by police in the north.

"If she is lashed according to Sharia law, there is no investigation. Why are some people ashamed? This is Sharia," the president said.

Human rights activists have accused the police of treating the woman in a particularly brutal way not compatible with Islam.

Thieves Cause Mexico Pipeline Explosion in San Martin Texmelucan Kills UPDATE 27

Imagine waking up one morning and seeing a raging river of flaming crude oil washing down your street?

That’s exactly what happened in a town in Mexico thanks to banditos trying to heist oil.

CBS News reports that a pipeline exploded in central Mexico early Sunday as thieves were trying to steal oil, killing at least 22 people and sending rivers of flaming crude through city streets. Authorities estimated that the explosion and resulting spill affected a 3-mile radius.
The principal explosion, followed by four additional minor blasts, injured at least 32 people and forced hundreds to flee the city of San Martin Texmelucan, 55 miles east of Mexico City. It also destroyed 32 houses and damaged 83.
"We saw rivers of fire in the streets," Valentin Meneses, interior secretary for the state of Puebla, where San Martin is located, told Milenio Television. Meneses said the explosion, which happened before dawn Sunday, was apparently provoked by thieves trying to steal crude oil. "They lost control because of the high pressure with which the fuel exits the pipeline," he said, adding that the oil began to flow down the city's streets and into a nearby river.

LATEEST UPDATE: Flaming River of Crude Oil Kills 27 in Mexico

CBS News reports that a massive oil pipeline explosion lay waste to parts of a central Mexican city Sunday, incinerating people, cars, houses and trees as gushing crude turned streets into flaming rivers. At least 27 people were killed, 12 of them children, in a disaster authorities blamed on oil thieves.

The blast in San Martin Texmelucan, estimated to have affected a three-mile radius, scorched homes and cars and left metal and pavement twisted from the intense heat and in some cases burned to ash.

Relatives sobbed as firefighters pulled charred bodies from the incinerated homes, some of the remains barely more than piles of ashes and bones.

Jose Luis Chavez, 58, who lives 10 blocks from the explosion, said he heard at least two loud booms and saw flames leap more than 30 feet in the air. He said it was as if a bomb had exploded underground.

"The explosions we had were very scary," Chavez said.

Aside from the deaths, at least 52 people were hurt and at least 200 were in shelters after fleeing San Martin, which is about 55 miles east of Mexico City. More than 115 homes were scorched, 30 of them destroyed.
The explosion, which happened before dawn Sunday, was apparently caused by thieves trying to steal crude oil, said Valentin Meneses, interior secretary for the state of Puebla, where San Martin is located. Investigators found a hole in the pipeline and equipment for extracting crude, said Laura Gurza, chief of the federal Civil Protection emergency response agency.

"They lost control because of the high pressure with which the fuel exits the pipeline," he said, adding that the oil began to flow down the city's streets and into a nearby river.

Several bodies were found in cars near the location of the leak, but authorities didn't know if the dead were involved in the theft or just there by coincidence. The rupture occurred in an elevated part of the city, sending the crude running down a river bed more than a half mile, Gurza said.

At some point a spark caused the crude to erupt into flames, though officials didn't know the origin of the spark.

Many of the buildings destroyed were humble two-story cement homes. Gurza said people are not permitted to live near oil pipelines, but Chavez and others indicated they had been in the area for some time.

President Felipe Calderon expressed his condolences to the families of the dead and his support for those injured and affected. He said the federal government would give its full support in investigating who was responsible and bringing them to justice.

Interior Minister Francisco Blake Mora mobilized several federal ministries to help victims with medical care, shelter and recovering their lost homes and property.

The state-owned oil company Petroleos Mexicanos, or Pemex, said in a statement that it had shut down the pipeline. Government authorities said the fire was under control by midday, and fires were burning the remaining crude. The area was without electricity or water.

San Martin Texmelucan is a city of about 130,000 people, according to 2005 government figures. According to the city's website, farming is important to the area's economy, along with a manufacturing sector that makes chemical and petrochemical products, pharmaceuticals, textiles and metals.

Civil protection authorities, firefighters and military officers were investigating to make sure there are no more explosions. No one had been detained.

Pemex has struggled with chronic theft, losing as much as 10 percent of all of its product.

Criminals tap remote pipelines, sometimes building pipelines of their own, to siphon off hundreds of millions of dollars worth of oil each year, Pemex has said.

John Travolta is Gay? Princess Leia aka Carrie Fisher says so

Wow, Princess Leia, that’s was pretty low to out your friend like that. What would Yoda say?

The National Enquirer reports that a furious John Travolta is lashing out at pal Carrie Fisher for publicly announcing he should admit being gay!
The 56-year-old actor - who became a dad again only a few weeks ago - was devastated when old friend Carrie recently spoke about his sexual orientation to the gay mag The Advocate.
"Wow, I mean my feeling about John has always been that we know and we don't care," she said. "Look, I'm sorry that he's uncomfortable with it, and that's ALL I can say."But as far as John is concerned, that was already far too much.

The Shameful Eight Make History: 8 GOP Senators back Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell Repeal

Let it go forth from this time and place that these eight miserable sad excuses for Republicans will foreever be known as the Shameful Eight for supporting the repeal of Bill Clinton’s greatest legacy.

The voters in their districts who believe in conservative values won’t soon forget when re-election time comes. The conserevative wave in not over and these Democratplite senators will find out first hand when their butts are kicked out of office.

The Politico reports that eight Republicans bucked their party in backing the repeal of the “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell" policy, potentially risking a backlash from the conservative base while giving the historic vote a stronger bipartisan finish than many expected.

The Republican senators voting “yes” with the Democrats on repeal were Richard Burr of North Carolina, Mark Kirk of Illinois, John Ensign of Nevada, Scott Brown of Massachusetts, George Voinovich of Ohio, Lisa Murkowski of Alaska – and Olympia Snowe and Susan Collins, both of Maine.

Burr, Ensign and Kirk did not announce their support for repeal before the Saturday vote. Burr and Ensign initially sided with Republicans in a procedural vote to bring the measure to the floor; they voted for repeal on the final vote.

But while Kirk and Ensign had previously indicated they were open to voting for repeal, Burr’s vote came as a surprise even to the sponsors of the legislation. Collins, who led the charge for repeal in the Senate with Connecticut Sen. Joe Lieberman, said she lobbied every other GOP senator who voted for repeal, except for the North Carolina Republican.

“I was confident going into the vote today that we had six to seven votes. I didn't not expect eight,” said Collins. “I was delighted but surprised with the vote from Sen. Burr. I think that was a gutsy vote and I was delighted. But he was not someone who I thought to lobby on the issue.”

U of Hawaii Marching Band Morphs into Giant Stick figure Kicking a Football for Half Time Show

This is outstanding stuff!

Kudos to the Rainbow Warriors marching band for coming up with this creative idea to juice up their fans.

The Daily Mail reports that after watching an enthusiastic group of musicians strut their stuff in Hawaii, the humble marching band may never be the same again.

A band from the
University of Hawaii put their heads together to devise a unique piece of mid-game entertainment during a recent home fixture, creating a YouTube instant classic in the process.

More than 100 members of the 250-strong Rainbow Warrior band took the field at the university's Aloha Stadium, and shunned the usual military-style formation in favour of a more novel approach.
Forming
a large stick figure stretching across the playing field, the members of the band then moved so that the figure appeared to run towards a waiting football and punt it out of the stadium.
Of course, all of this was done while the band members were playing their instruments - and they didn't miss a beat.

The choreographed moves were captured by a spectator and later posted on YouTube, where the stunt has been met with well-deserved praise.

Bimbo’s hair set on fire in P Diddy’s bathtube (Video)

Girls in the rap game are just props! They’re no different than a piece of furniture. As long as these bitches look good, who cares if they catch on fire at a album release party.

(File phptp)

The Sun reports that P Diddy’s latest New York party was so hot, one of the guests caught on fire - while frolicking in a bubble bath.

The rapper reportedly crammed 200 revellers into the penthouse suite at the London Hotel - despite telling hotel bosses he'd only invited 20.

The night - held to celebrate the launch of Diddy's new album Last Train To Paris - took a dramatic turn when a bikini-clad model leaned over a candle as she made a splash in the tub.

Her hair went up in flames, prompting fire fighters to rush to the scene.

Military Men who take it up the ass and suck dick will soon be allowed to Openly take it up the ass and suck dick thanks to Senate’s repeal of DADT.

I’ve decided to throw away labels like our Liberal friends want us to do.

So I won’t bother using the words gay or homosexual for the purposes of this post.

So, I’m calling what it is.

Men who take it up the ass and/or suck dicks will soon be able to serve openly in the military.

Welcome all you cock suckers, rump wranglers, and carpet lickers to the armed forces.

Serve you country well, while you’re now allowed to service each other in the light of day.

TPM reports that with just a signature from President Obama, a ban on openly gay servicemembers will no longer be the law of the land.

By a vote of 65 to 31 this afternoon, the
Senate voted to repeal the military's Don't Ask, Don't Tell policy. Republican Senators Scott Brown, Richard Burr, Susan Collins, John Ensign, Mark Kirk, Lisa Murkowski, Olympia Snowe and George Voinovich joined Democrats in the final vote to repeal Don't Ask, Don't Tell. Burr and Ensign did not vote with the Democrats earlier in the day when the GOP filibuster was broken, but signed on for the final vote.

As with almost everything in the Senate these days, the vote for something is a lot less newsworthy than the vote to consider voting for something. Thus, the real fight was over whether repeal proponents could gather the required 60 votes to break a GOP filibuster, end debate and hold a final vote. They did that -- led by Sen. Joe Lieberman (I-CT) -- and repeal moved ahead earlier today.

[
What followed was some inside baseball procedural stuff that meant the normal 30 hours of debate provided to a bill was cut off in favor of today's fast-moving action. It's all quite anticlimactic to the drama fans, but for the proponents of DADT repeal, this afternoon's vote is the one that really matters.

Conservatives Continue to Outnumber Moderates in 2010 Thanks to Barack Obama’s Socialists Policies

What this poll really means if you read between the lines, is that Barack Obama and Democrat control of congress since 2006 are creating more Conservatives.

The country is reacting to a socialist president wanting to implement a Far Leftist agenda and that’s why the Dems got trounced in the mid-term elections.

It’s the reason why Obama’s approval ratings is in the upper 30%!

This America, damn it, not Europe!

Gallup reports the political composition of U.S. adults held fairly steady in 2010 compared with 2009.

Conservatives remained the largest group, followed by moderates and then liberals. At 35%, the percentage of moderates has declined to a new low, highlighting the increased political polarization that has occurred over the past decade.

Gallup measures Americans' political ideology by asking respondents to define their views as very conservative, conservative, moderate, liberal, or very liberal. The trends represent annual averages of stand-alone, multiday Gallup surveys conducted each year, with more than 26,000 interviews in the 2010 data set.

In 2010, as in prior years, relatively few Americans described themselves as either very conservative (10%) or very liberal (6%). The vast majority of Americans favor the more temperate political labels.

Fewer people in all three party groups call themselves moderate today than did so in 2002, but the decline is particularly steep among Republicans. The percentage of Republicans calling themselves moderate fell from 31% in 2002 to 27% by 2006, and now stands at 23%. There has been a commensurate increase in the percentage of Republicans calling themselves conservative, now at a record-high 72%.

Among Democrats, Gallup trends document declines in the proportion of moderates as well as conservatives. At the same time, the percentage of Democrats identifying as liberal has climbed from 29% in 2000 to a record-high 40% today.

The ideological orientation of independents was fairly steady from 2000 through 2008, but since 2009, their views have followed the same path as Republicans', becoming less moderate and more conservative. Still, the slight plurality of independents remain moderate.

Conservatism in 2010 Peaked in Second Quarter
Although the percentage of conservatives among U.S. adults averaged 40% in 2010, it varied slightly during the year, peaking at 42% in the second quarter (after a 41% reading in the first quarter), in the first few months after passage of the landmark healthcare reform act. The conservative ID subsequently fell to 40% and 39% in the third and fourth quarters, and will bear watching in 2011.

Bottom Line
While the political pendulum in Washington can swing widely, Americans' political ideology, like their party identification, tends to shift more gradually. Such a shift has been underway in recent years. While the changes are not large, they are unmistakable. Moderates are growing fewer in number while the percentages of conservatives and liberals have expanded.

Conservatism has gained ground among Republicans and independents, while the growth in liberalism is strictly among Democrats.

Rapper G-Dep confesses to murder he committed 17 years ago

They say that confession is good for the soul.

But, for 17 years a former rapper who went by the name G-Dep managed to live with a secret that only he knew. That was until his conscience made it impossible for him to live with himself.

The New York Post reports that Wednesday night, after years of living with the burden, Coleman, 36, walked into the 25th Precinct and shockingly confessed to the very cold case, the sources said.

The career criminal -- once signed to superstar rap mogul Shawn "Diddy" Combs' record label -- was just 18 when he fatally shot a Queens man outside an East Harlem housing project in 1993, police sources said.

"I shot and killed someone 17 years ago," Coleman told a cop in the station house.

As Coleman continued to reveal more details of the Oct. 19, 1993, murder of John
Henkel outside the James Weldon Johnson Houses -- things only the killer would know -- the officer reached out to investigators at the 23rd Precinct, where the crime took place.

"It was just eating away at him," said a police source.

Coleman, who grew up in the projects, told cops he was riding a bike when he rolled up on Henkel, 32, on Park Avenue and East 114th Street and announced a robbery.

Coleman told Detective William Dunn that Henkel resisted and grabbed his .40-caliber gun.

He allegedly admitted that he pulled away and shot his victim three times in the chest.

Coleman said he fled and tossed the weapon into the East River.

Henkel was rushed to St. Luke's Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

When the detective reviewed the cold-case file, he was amazed to discover that Coleman's tale matched up.

Coleman, who has racked up more than 25 arrests since 2003 for drugs, burglary and grand larceny, was charged with murder, and is being held without bail.

Protesting Mother (Marisela Escobedo Ortiz) Gunned Down in Mexico

A Mexican mother only wanted justice for the killing of her daughter. What she got was a bullet that took her life as well.

Life continues to be cheap south of the border. It’s no longer Mexico, call it Murderco instead.

CBS News reports that gunmen killed a mother who had been protesting for three days in front of a governor's office in northern Mexico to demand justice for her slain daughter, authorities said Friday.

The brutal killing of activist Marisela Escobedo Ortiz stunned people across Mexico, and a group of women angrily demanding justtice gathered outside the state prosecutors' office in this border city, where the victim's daughter was killed.

Escobedo's slaying "shows that in Mexico, it is the victim who suffers," anti-crime activist Alejandro Marti said.

The vicious nature of the killing - which was caught on a security camera and broadcast repeatedly on national television - added to the anger. The video shows masked men pull up in a car Thursday night in front of the governor's office in Chihuahua city, the capital of Chihuahua state, where Ciudad Juarez is located.

One man appeared to exchange words with and Escobedo Ortiz, who tried to flee by running across the street. The gunman chased her down and shot her in the head, said Jorge Gonzalez, special state prosecutor for crime prevention.

A spokesman for the state attorney general's office, Carlos Gonzalez, said investigators believe one of the gunmen was Sergio Barraza, who had been the main suspect in the killing of Escobedo's 17-year-old daughter. He was absolved by a court in April for lack of evidence.

Escobedo was taken by ambulance to a hospital, where she died within minutes.

She had been campaigning for a conviction in the killing of her daughter, Rubi Frayre Escobedo, whose burned and dismembered remains were found in a trash bin in the border city of Ciudad Juarez on June 18, 2009. She had been missing for nearly a year.

Escobedo had staged numerous marches, once wearing no clothes, wrapped only in a banner with her daughter's photograph.

"This struggle is not only for my daughter," Escobedo said then through a megaphone, her voice breaking. "Let's not allow one more young woman to be killed in this city."

Three days ago, Escobedo planted herself in front of the offices of Gov. Cesar Duarte and vowed not to move until investigators showed progress in the case. In an interview with the newspaper El Diario on Sunday, Escobedo said she had received death threats from Barraza's family. Duarte said state security officials had been assigned to protect Escobedo, although from a distance. He said their failure to protect Escobedo on Thursday would be investigated.

Prosecutors said Barraza, Frayre's live-in boyfriend, admitted murdering her and led police to the body. But during the trial, he proclaimed his innocence and claimed he had been tortured into confessing. A judge ruled in April that prosecutors failed to present material evidence against him. The case exemplifies the problems of the judicial system in Chihuahua state, one of the first in Mexico to adopt oral trials instead of the system of closed-door interrogations and filings of documents used for most Mexican trials.

Despite training, Chihuahua police and prosecutors have struggled to adapt to a system that puts the burden of proof on prosecutors. Many homicide cases have been thrown out for lack of evidence or never make it to trial. Often, police rely solely on confessions that suspects later claim were made under duress. Newly captured suspects in much of Mexico are often displayed to the press with bruised faces.

Tom Selleck’s behind-the-scenes battle to improve Blue Bloods.

I for one watch only two TV series regularly, Hawaii Five O and Blue Bloods.

Hey, I’m a law and order kinda of guy. But, I didn’t know just how much Selleck is a part of CBS’s new hit series.

The National Enquirer reports that TV favorite TOM SELLECK bleeds "blue" to save the one thing he loves the most as he fights desperate one-man war.
The star had to take matters into his own hands to save his new cop show Blue Bloods which was almost canceled before it even started.
But Selleck, 65, fought the brass and turned the NY cops show into a runaway hit for CBS.After filming the pilot, the former Magnum, P.I. star became locked in a bitter battle with the show's original exec producer, ex-New York cop Ken Sanzel."Selleck didn't like the guy in charge and hated the scripts," revealed a network insider.
"He refused to accept them."Tom wanted a more character-driven show, but execs wanted a conventional cops-on-the-street program, according to the insider. Finally, the dispute with Sanzel caused production to shut down - as Selleck threatened to walk."He told the network that either they change producers or get another star," said the insider.

Obama and the Democrats Try and Take Credit for Bush tax Cuts.

Don’t believe the spin concerning Barack Obama being the “New Come Back Kid”.

Obama didn’t come back from anything other than being responsible for the largest tax increase in American history if he and the Dems allowed the Bush tax cuts to expire!

That is the whole enchilada!

Anything else you’re reading or seeing on TV is pure SPIN.

These are the George Bush tax rates that Obama agreed to extend for 2 more years. The same tax cuts he trashed for 2 whole years while he’s been president as tax cuts for Billionaires and Millionaires.

Obama has done nothing but save his own political ass to avoid a 50% tax increase for the lowest salary workers.

Don’t fall for Obama bullshit!

It stinks from here to Kenya.

Look at what Obama said at 2:35 and the 3:35 mark of this video.

He has extended a policy that only 6 months ago was a bad idea in his opinion.

Tart’s really a profile in courage, huh?

Three Wimpy Men on School Board Shooting Video and only the Woman acts more like a Man

We have to start teaching our boys how to act like men!

By now you have seen this video to death. But, I have to say something that needs to be said. I’ve give a pass to the man trying to talk down the distraught individual with the gun. At one point he begged the guy with the gun to let the other men go because they had nothing to do with getting his wife fired.

I’ll give a pass to the old man in the red jacket.

Kudos to the only female board member for at least trying to disarm the guy, she acted more manly than the three poor excuse for manhood on the left.

I frequently hit on this topic because it keeps cropping up more and more because we have to many chic-a-fied walking around in this country that don’t realize what it is to act like a man.

Those three should have rushed the guy, he wouldn’t be able to shoot all of them. I know you may think it’s easy for me to say. But, it’s more important to me if I was in that same situation to have the courage to do what a real man is supposed to.

I rather get shot and killed acting LIKE A MAN to save others as opposed to getting shot sitting on my ass doing nothing.

Look at this woman, all she had was handbag, but she tried. The three guys on the left just pitifully sat there like sitting ducks. These sons of bitches stayed sitting when the man had his back turned struggling with the woman with the bag. that was the moment to jump the guy and assist the woman who tried to save them.

Pathetic!

These are the Shameful Three and I must point this out. They could at least stood up and possibly die standing on their feet, or better yet, how about acting like MEN!

BREAKING from JAPAN: CHINA ADMITS ITS BUILDING AN AIRCRAFT CARRIER

While these idiots in Washington haggle over tax cuts, pork and out of control spending, China is quietly building their military strength. Now, why do you think they’re doing this and who is their target?

Wise up folks!

The United States is in serious danger here if we don’t take care of business. I like to joke on this blog and poke fun for laughs, but I don’t kid about our national security.

Asahi Evening News (Tokyo) reports that China has officially admitted for the first time that it has embarked on an aircraft carrier building program, part of a grand strategy to "build itself up as a maritime power."

A report published by the State Oceanic Administration says the country's leaders decided last year to back plans to build China's first aircraft carrier. The Chinese government and military had kept the program under wraps until now.

The annual national ocean development report says that asserting China's power at sea is "indispensible to accomplishing the great resurgence of the Chinese people."

Chinese military sources said initial plans had called for launching a conventional powered carrier with a displacement of between 50,000 and 60,000 tons in 2015. But, with construction progressing quickly, the launch of the first Chinese-made aircraft carrier now appears to be set for 2014.

Construction has already begun at six military-affiliated companies and research institutes in Shanghai and other locations.

The plan calls for a nuclear-powered aircraft carrier to be launched by around 2020.

Meanwhile, the Varyag, a Soviet-era Kuznetsov-class aircraft carrier bought from the Ukraine, is undergoing repairs in the northeastern port of Dalian and is expected to be pressed into service as a training vessel from 2012.

The Chinese military is developing a fighter jet to be used on its new carrier and about 50 pilots have begun land-based training.

Facilities to train the pilots in landing and taking off at sea are being constructed at Xingcheng, Liaoning province, and Xian, Shaanxi province, and a full-scale model of an aircraft carrier has been completed in Wuhan, Hubei province, to test radar systems.
The report, written by a research institute affiliated to the State Oceanic Administration, sketches a strategy for expanding the reach of Chinese sea power and strengthening its ability to protect its maritime interests.

As part of that strategy, the report says, the Chinese military "came out in 2009 with a vision and plan to construct aircraft carriers."

It also maps out a longer-term drive to build China into a mid-level maritime power by about 2020, able to counter challenges and threats at sea.

The report indicates that possessing aircraft carriers is seen not only as necessary to compete with the United States, but also as a way to heighten patriotic sentiment in China.

Hall of Famer Bob Feller dies at 92

I wished I could’ve seen Bob Feller pitch. I remember reading a book about him when I was a kid and thinking how fantastic he was to break into the majors at 17 years old! But, more than being a great pitcher for the Cleveland Indians, he was also served in WW ll to defend our nation.

Feller was a great pitcher and a better man.

The Washington Post reports that teenage pitching sensation, World War II hero, outspoken Hall of Famer and local sports treasure. Bob Feller was all of them.

One of a kind, he was an American original.

Blessed with a right arm that earned the Iowa farmboy the nickname "Rapid Robert" and made him one of the greatest pitchers in baseball history, Feller, who left baseball in the prime of his career to fight for his country, died Wednesday night. He was 92.

Feller, who won 266 games in 18 seasons - all with the Indians - died at 9:15 p.m. on Wednesday night of acute leukemia at a hospice, said Bob DiBiasio, the Indians vice president of public relations.

Remarkably fit until late in life, Feller had suffered serious health setbacks in recent months. He was diagnosed with leukemia in August, and while undergoing chemotherapy, he fainted and his heart briefly stopped. Eventually, he had pacemaker implanted.

In November, he was hospitalized with pneumonia and recently released into hospice care.

Even as his health deteriorated, Feller continued doing what he loved most - attending Indians games deep into last season.

"Nobody lives forever and I've had a blessed life," Feller said in September. "I'd like to stay on this side of the grass for as long as I can, though. I'd really like to see the Indians win a World Series."

Feller, in fact, was part of the rotation the last time the Indians won it all - in 1948.

Fiercely proud and patriotic, Feller's life was much like one of his overpowering fastballs. He seemed unstoppable, whether on the mound or in conversation. Feller, who broke into the majors at the tender age of 17, could always bring the heat.

"Bob Feller is gone. We cannot be surprised," Indians owner Larry Dolan said in a statement. "Yet, it seems improbable. Bob has been such an integral part of our fabric, so much more than an ex-ballplayer, so much more than any Cleveland Indians player. He is Cleveland, Ohio.

Idiot High School Basketball Player (Mason Holland) Attacks Ref in Florida (Video)

Behavior like this doesn’t belong on the court or any field of play.

Some people just don’t know how to act in civilized society. I don’t care how good is the jump shot or the cross over dribble.

CBS News reports a video of what not to do when you don't like a ref's call has been circulating the Internet.

In a game between Florida high school teams Arcadia DeSoto and Port Charlotte, DeSoto's Mason Holland shoved a Port Charlotte player, and then, after a technical foul was called on him, went ballistic and threw the referee to the floor.

Kim Kardashian voted Best Booty of 2010

More over J-Lo!

The Sun reports that curvy reality TV star KIM KARDASHIAN has been voted the owner of the World's Best Bum 2010.

The voluptuous Keeping Up With The Kardashians favourite saw her bottom come top in an online poll.

Organisers said Kim, 30, was blessed with "the Holy Grail of Hindquarters".

Actress and singer J-LO came second in the showbiz website survey and Crazy in Love beauty BEYONCE came third.

A-Team actress JESSICA BIEL came fourth for her "perfectly plump and toned" rear and Lady GaGa was in fifth place.

SHAKIRA was sixth and RIHANNA seventh for "being blessed".

Jeff Bridges, True Grit

Oh Baby!

Normally I’m not much for a remake of a classic like True Grit, the 1969 film staring my beloved John Wayne. But, I’m so much in love with the Western genre; I’ll gladly make an exception for this 2010 version starring the mighty talented Jeff Bridges.

I gotta give Jeff much credit for taking on a role John Wayne made famous and helped garner him his only Oscar win.

I haven’t seen this film, but this trailer looks heartstoppingly good.

I’m defiantly checking out this flick with a good friend of mine who's also a big Western fan.

True Grit, fill your hands you son-of –bitch!

Guy Ritchie’s new squeeze lingerie model Jaqui Ansley

Who needs an old hag like Madonna when you can rock this?

The Sun reports that Guy Ritchie's new love isn't much of a Material Girl if this skimpy underwear is anything to go by.

Gorgeous Jacqui Ansley , 28 - a favourite from the Lynx ads - showed off the flawless figure that bowled over MADONNA's ex-husband when she stripped Lock, Stock for her latest lingerie photoshoot.

Jacqui, from Essex, began dating 42-year-old film-maker Guy in April, 14 months after his divorce from the Queen of Pop. Guy then introduced Jacqui to his children Rocco and David in the summer, and they immediately took a shine to her.
