Resse Witherspoon Se Caso Por Segunda Vez

Reese Witherspoon la actriz americana, ganadora del Oscar en 2006 por su papel protagónico en la pelicula 'Walk the line', se casó este sabado por segunda vez con su agente Jim Toth, informó la revista People.

La actriz, de 35 años, y el agente de 40 que trabaja en la Agencia Creative Artists, eran novios desde diciembre pasado, se casaron en la propiedad de Witherspoon en Ojai, una localidad ubicada a unos 150 km al noroeste de Los Angeles.

Según People, asistieron a la ceremonia, entre otros, los actores y actrices Renée Zellweger, Salma Hayek, Tobey Maguire y Robert Downey Jr.

Witherspoon había estado casada previamente con el actor Ryan Phillippe, con quien tuvo dos hijos Ava, de 11 años, y Deacon, de 7. La pareja se divorció en 2008.

Una multitud de fanáticos se sumaron el sábado a los familiares y amigos del cantante hip-hop Nate Dogg para su funeral en el sur de California.

La familia de Nate Dogg cuyo verdadero nombre era Nathaniel Dwayne Hale decidió que el servicio religioso del sábado por la mañana en Queen Mary Dome de Long Beach no estaría abierto al público como habían deseado, pero emitieron mil entradas para los primeros que las solicitaran.

Buscaron un lugar más céntrico en Long Beach para el funeral, pero ninguno era capaz de contener a la multitud prevista. Shante Broadus, la esposa de Snoop Dogg un amigo y colaborador del artista , y el concejal Dee Andrews buscaron un espacio lo suficientemente grande para acoger a los ''miles de fans'', dijo la oficina del funcionario.

El viernes por la noche se expuso el cuerpo al público.

Nate Dogg murió el 15 de marzo luego de sufrir una serie de derrames, dijo su abogado Mark Geragos. Tenía 41 años.

A pesar de aparecer con frecuencia en álbumes de rap, no era rapero, sino cantante. Su estilo vocal sustentó algunos de los temas precursores del rap y ayudó a definir el sonido del hip-hop de la costa del Pacífico en pistas producidas generalmente por Dr. Dre e interpretadas por raperos como Snoop Dogg, Tha Dogg Pound y Warren G.

Nate Dogg, que se inició cantando en coros de iglesias, había conformado un trío con Snoop Dogg y Warren G cuando eran estudiantes de secundaria en Long Beach. Abandonó los estudios,  y  trafico drogas de poca monta antes de conocer el éxito como Nate Dogg en el álbum de Dr. Dre ''The Chronic'', de 1992.

The Jerry Brown "whore-gate'' story just became that much more bizarre. It seems that Jerry Brown's senior adviser to his gubernatorial campaign, - aka his wife Anne Gust Brown - may be the person on tape calling Meg Whitman a "whore".

Fox reports

The Brown campaign is making no official comment on the matter, however people with knowledge of what went on in the room tell Fox News that the voice heard on tape calling Meg Whitman a "whore" is Jerry Brown's wife, Anne Gust Brown.

"The person who said that word is someone who can't be fired... Jerry's wife can't be fired." said the source, who spoke on condition of anonymity.

7 yr old Boy 911 Call Saves His Family

Ever so often a feel good story burst onto the scene. That’s what we have here when a 7 yr old boy, Carlos, took matters into his own hands when his family was threatened by arm intruders that broke into his home.

From ABC News:

Most 7-year-olds only dream of being a superhero. But a Norwalk, Calif. boy identified only as Carlos is being hailed as a real one after acting quickly when three gunmen burst through an unlocked door in his house.

The intruders allegedly threatened Carlos' mom and dad but he grabbed his little sister and a phone, hid in the bathroom and called 911.

"There's some guys," he said. "They're going to kill my mom and dad, can you come please. ... Can you come really fast? PLEASE, PLEASE." Los Angeles County sheriff's dispatcher Monique Patino called in the cavalry, assuring Carlos the police were on their way. He kept the phone line open even when the gunmen evidently discovered him and his sister.

But it turned out the gunmen had met their match. When Carlos bravely told them he had 911 on the line, the intruders fled. No one was hurt and nothing was stolen.
