former mayor Harriet Miller died and I'm sorry..but she sucked as mayor. The NewsPress loved her and always tried to prop her up as something more than she was..she was a mommy figure to Travis and Wendy and I'm sure enjoyed some perks from that relationship..
like I say, I'm sorry she died but what else is there to do at 90? and by the way, it's 90 degrees in Carp right now in the direct sun! Harriet bugged the heck out of me...she was a crotchety old dame and when I once looked into her eyes, I got really frightened! There was a void there, something really spooky!
Also, she and former city administrator Sandra Tripp Jones were at the helm when the city lost millions in an Orange County derivative scheme that their finance director was investing city funds into! and it was city employees who busted the finance guy! the finance guy resigned and Sandra left shortly afterwards...and they soaked SB with State Water AND a Desal Plant and more growth!
The NewsPress NEVER mentioned that and always tried to blame their enemies for all financial issues and was always praising Harriet! Other than that, she was a swell old gal and I wish her well in that big city council in the sky...
new cell phone use: find weeds in public parks and then send info to authorities! Have these people lost their minds?? Hello? Mr Biologist, there's a weed on the mountain! What should I do?? whatsinvasive
if you can't go out in nature without demonizing plants, then you need more fiber in your diet... try some fennel in your salad...
where does the money for "alien" species control and eradication go? it goes to people who make a living killing alien species..and here we come to one of the main problems with invasive biology. It is run by invasion biologists who are nothing more than glorified exterminators. Even Ph.D.s working at universities or for the government are being paid large grant sums to discover ways of killing invasive species...the invasion biologists make all the decisions about which plant is good and which is bad. Much of the science is junk based on emotion and fear...their agenda is to rid the world of alien species and teach this intolerance in schools...you can see the folly of trying to stop Nature from dispersing species anywhere she sees fit..this is the scam of biodiversity..it's a total waste of money and time but they keep trying to whip up fear and anger to dupe people into thinking nature's plants are out to get us! Instead of worrying about rebel plants in our parks, we should be more concerned with filling up landfills with our trash! the main principle of physics and ecology is the law of conservation of matter which warns us that we can't continue to throw things away or burn and kill everything that scares us..or project our fear onto plants..plants aren't the problem, people are!
except me and you...
