Larry Hangman of Dallas and I Dream of Jeanie LSD Secret Revealed

Some actors are lucky enough to get one role that goes on to be iconic. Larry Hangman was fortunate enough to have two as Major Nelson in I Dream of Jeanie, and the notorious J.R. Ewing of the 80s nighttime soap, Dallas.

But there’s more to Larry than just acting. He also likes to get his LSD on.

The National Enquirer reports that LARRY HAGMAN did more than Dream of Jeanie - his mind bending trips on LSD set his brain synapses ablaze like Krakatoa, East of Java -- and he thinks DC politicians should do the same!

Hagman, 79, best known as conniving Texas oilman J.R. Ewing on the nighttime soap Dallas, will discuss his mind-altering experiences under the influence of LSD at a psychedelic conference in Los Angeles Dec. 11 at an event sponsored by the Multidisciplinary Association of Psychedelic Studies (MAPS).Hagman, who beat a lifelong battle with the bottle, said he was first turned on to "acid" by David Crosby backstage at a Corsby, Stills & Nash concert during the 1960s.

He recalled, "David ... handed me a handful of little pills. I said what the (EFF)? He says 'This IS LSD'. It was the best going around at that time. "This was before Blue Cheer and Windowpane. This was the original Owsley. He gave me about 25 pills. I said, well, how much should I take? He says, well, don't take more than one…."

Hagman called his first acid trip "the most illuminating experience of my life." "I would highly recommend it for people who study and prepare for it and who are not neurotic or psychotic," Larry said.

Dallas Braden of Oakland A’s Pitches a Perfect Game 4-0 Over D Rays (Video of Last 3 Outs)

Take that Alex Rodriguez!

Dallas Braden left hander for the Oakland A’s made national headlines several weeks ago after getting very upset at Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez for breaking baseball etiquette by running over his mound during the gameBraden has been steaming ever since and this week challenged Arod to a fist fight.

But, today Dallas Braden shocks the baseball world by pitching a perfect game.

From Contra Costa Times:

Left-hander Dallas Braden became the second Oakland A's pitcher and 19th in Major League Baseball history to pitch a perfect game Sunday, retiring 27 consecutive batters in beating the Tampa Bay Rays 4-0 Sunday.

Braden, who had never even pitched a complete-game victory, threw 109 pitches — 77 strikes — in becoming the first man to throw a perfect game for Oakland since Jim ``Catfish'' Hunter on May 8, 1968, who turned the feat against the Minnesota Twins (also a 4-0 outcome) at the Coliseum in the first year the A's played in the city.

A crowd of 12,228 witnessed Braden's feat compared to just 6,298 for Hunter's perfect game.

Braden struck out six in the game, and the closest thing to a hit was the first batter. Tampa's Jason Bartlett led off the game with a line drive behind third base that was snared by Kevin Kouzmanoff.
