The UK Telegraph reports that actor and comedian Russell Brand has been arrested in Los Angeles after allegedly attacking a photographer
The 35-year-old was taken into custody on Friday at Los Angeles International Airport after being accused of pushing a photographer.
Police said he was arrested for a misdemeanour charge of simple battery and was later released from custody after posting $20,000 (£12,800) bail.
A video of the altercation posted on the internet by TMZ showed Brand and his fiancée, the singer Katy Perry, being surrounded by paparazzi as they entered the airport terminal.
