do the Milpas Corridor Businesses want species cleansing in Santa Barbara???

for some reason I had Lady Leslie Ridley-Tree pegged as a rich socialite who just gave money to keep the status quo quoing...just a rich old bitty, I thought..but then, I'm an idiot sometimes..
I was watching the Homeless Show on city TV 18/ Planning Commission..one by one the speakers, some business owners on Milpas came up and cried about their fear of poor people..they defecate and urinate and have sex in bathrooms...hey who hasn't?? There was the bald wimpy owner of the Blue Sands Motel complaining that the homeless folks were hurting his online hotel ratings...here's an online rating of the Blue Sands Motel: IT SUCKS!! IT'S A DUMP! DON'T STAY THERE!!
another motel owner was afraid to send guests up Milpas because they may encounter a homeless person, or gauntlet! one guy suggested installing a big 36 inch pipeline from Casa Esperanza to the ocean and flushing the homeless and mentally ill out to sea!!
Actually, as one person said, the biggest problem on Milpas is the Trader Joe's parking lot configuration....
yes, there they were, saying we need to get rid of Casa Esperanza lunch program because it attracts homeless people! but can they make a connection between the Casa program and crime?? or are they just afraid of poor people?
and what kind of a person would deny a lunch to someone who needs it, in a controlled program, designed to care for the less fortunate..and believe me, if you aren't mentally ill, living on the streets, a forgotten vet, or poor and hungry, then you are fortunate...then the next speaker that walked up to the podium was Lady Leslie Ridley-Tree..uh oh, I thought, she's gonna rag on the homeless too...boy, was I wrong..this lady blew me away..she cut through the bullshit from the previous speakers in a minute, saying she shops on Milpas and has never felt threatened by a homeless person..she's a patron of Caza Esperanza and said you can't just get rid of it and squash it like an ugly bug! she said if the city takes away the lunch program by messing with the CUP, that will do nothing to fix the homeless problem..this lady rocks!!
can you imagine Wendy McCuckoo sticking up for the homeless?? I can't either...so keep the soup kitchen open, police the crimes, some of you folks on Milpas who blame the homeless for your problems should be ashamed of yourselves..and thank goodness for Lady Leslie Ridley-Tree...now ain't that a woman....
