Jason Miller’s Tony and Pulitzer Prize-winning play That Championship Season, which follows four former high school basketball champs as they reunite at their coach’s home in Scranton, Pennsylvania 20 years after winning their state championship, is the very definition of an ensemble piece.
The upcoming Broadway revival, helmed by Gregory Mosher, is the play’s first return to the Great White Way since it debuted in 1973 and features an impressive a team of actors in its starting lineup. Broadway.com talked to Mosher and talented stars Kiefer Sutherland, Brian Cox, Chris Noth, Jim Gaffigan and Jason Patric about their Broadway boy's club and the themes that make this a classic American play.
