isn't it wonderful we have so many folks like Wendy McCuckoo and Randall Van Wolfswinkel who want to save (buy) Santa Barbara!! thanks News-Press
Mr. Randall Van Wolfswinkel..according to Travis Armstrong, is this rich guy from Texas, who grew up in SB , who finally bought a house here 3 years ago and wants to save SB... He made a killing developing houses in Texas, and now he wants to "save" Santa Barbara! He spills his guts to Travis and well it made me weep..weep..weep...
This was the weirdest Travis column yet... full of ramblings, drama and complaints against the cabal..he says Wolfie has contributed thousands of dollars to council campaigns and the height initiative, which is the dumbest thing I've ever heard of..quibbling over 40 or 60 feet for a downtown building...how tall is the old KIST building? the Granada...it's a non-issue!
but..Travis says Wolfy's motives are pure..he loves Santa Barbara and wants to save it from gangs, development, recession and too much reality! Oh boy, talk about laying it on thick, Travis sees a rich guy and he immediately drops to his knees! Who does this queer Indian think he is, Monica Lewinski??
I mean, the column was so full of shit the manholes by the NewsPRess building were overflowing! Where'd all these pop-up martyrs come from?? I can guess that Wolfy is supporting council candidate loser Frank Hotchkiss, a realtor, otherwise he would not have made it into the News-Press pages... look at the logic of the News-Press: the guy owns a development company but has no plans to develop Santa Barbara because of over-development here; he gave thousands to Hotchkiss, a realtor; and they all want to save Santa Barbara!!
so it's ok for a rich developer to give thousands to campaigns, but when the unions do it, it's not ok..WTF kind of thinking is this?? The fact is Wolfy is a hard line neo-conservative and his company First Texas Homes has a bunch of complaints against them..allegations of shoddy workmanship and false advertising among others....
ripoff report
ripoff1
ripoff2
I'm not surprised the crooked NewsPress would support this nut, but his money is as tainted as Wendy's..worse even! creepy!!
geez...even a Texas longhorn would steer clear of these two shady organizations: the NewsPress and Wolfy's development businesses! Who do they think they are fooling?
me, myself or Irene?
