this Saturday in Carpinteria, fatman Andy Granatellie sic (and friend of quack Dr. Laura) will poison Carpinteria as Grand Marshall of the parade..apparently Danica Patrick couldn't make it although I repeatedly tried to get her to crash the party with me..what's wrong with me!!! So we have to settle for some fat Italian dude who has a questionable past with the Sheriff's Association fraud, tried to tell us that STP really works, and oh boy, the folks who put this thing together are really getting tired..hey I love the cars but it seems the Weirdest Generation has started to show and go rightwing nutty on me...hell, I'll crash the party anyway!!!and then we got the Santa Barbara Wine Festival.. the SB Natural History Museum is a beautiful place..however, ever since they joined forces with Ty Warner, the non-profit directors have been on a mission in Mission Canyon to
ruin it, ie, develop it, just like Ty likes to do...you know Ty..the beanie baby guy who got rich and bought up properties like a drug addict, some of which he is defaulting on, including the San Ysidro Ranch...Ty has been a black mark on Montecito since day one..the same mentality has overtaken the SBMNH with Karl Hutterer as CEO of the non-profit..Karl and his crew have thrown wine parties, tequila parties and other lame-brain fundraisers and are trying to destroy the rural beauty of the Museum with modernization schemes.. do you really wanta bunch of drunks driving throught Mission Canyon, people whose sense of history is what Paris Hilton wore yesterday??and a "restoration of the portion of Mission Creek that runs through the Museum" is completely unneeded and will mess with habitat of the frogs singing at night..THESE PEOPLE ARE POOR STEWARDS OF THIS INSTITUTION..they want to develop to throw more fund raising parties..PERIOD!!I don't trust Hutterer one bit..he makes too much money, his wife sits on the board and it's just too smarmy up there with thse folks running the place...the museum doesn't need a bunch of new buildings..it is fine the way it is..leave it alone and for pete's sake, gte rid of the current management...just another non-profit to have lost focus..The SBMNH under the leadership of Karl Hutterer has sponsored booze (tequila and wine festivals) parties during Fiesta. Hutterer makes $133000 a year and his wife Nancy is the treasurer of the Museum League! The Museum has net assets of $70,000,000 (seventy million!). Their revenue for fiscal year 2007 was $14,000,000!! with all that cash they are itching to develop with the same intensity as the Botanic Garden..very similar boards with similar goals: turn these two Santa Barbara institutions into country clubs..for the Weirdest Generation..weird
