Barack Obama knows that his base is the most uninformed people in the country.
He knows that they are not really up on the issues because they're too busy with the issues of life.
This doesn’t mean that they’re stupid people!
It only means that they are the type of people that tend to trust charismatic leaders and leave the details of the nuts and bolts of government up to them.
What they are is willingly ignorant.
What matters to them is how they feel more than how they think. They want to believe in Obama so much, that they suspend all disbelief to keep that good emotional feelings going. If they doubt, then they would not only be disloyal to Obama, but more importantly, their own hearts, and that’s very painful.
